Saving Margie

Margie was very sick but is on the mend.

A pregnancy gone wrong led to a dire situation.

Poor Margie was not doing well. She was pregnant, but something was not right. It turns out that there had been a complication, and the kittens inside of her had died, but she was not able to deliver them. As a result, she became very sick, developing a condition known as sepsis, and it was urgent that she have surgery to remove the lifeless kittens. She was taken to the vet just in time, and her surgery was a success. She is still understandably sad, but we know with time, she will recover. We are thankful that we had the funds to pay for her care, as it cost over $1000 which is more than the county could afford to pay.
