A fun fact about SCAMP is that one of the motivating reasons SCAMP was formed was because it felt like there were always dogs that tested positive for heartworms, and treating heartworms was expensive. We have had some years with up to 12 dogs needing heartworm treatment. Nick got his treatment in January of 2024, making him the first of the year. We wish him the best with his adopter and please remember to keep your dogs on heartworm prevention year round!
